Four Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush joint replacement surgeons and their research team members will be honored with a high-profile award at this year’s American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS) Annual Meeting, March 10–14, 2025, in San Diego.

Drs. Craig Della Valle, Vasili Karas, Tad Gerlinger, and Denis Nam will be awarded the Best Paper in Hip Arthroplasty (adult hip reconstruction) during the national association’s annual meeting.

The paper is entitled “Closed Incision Negative Pressure-Therapy Does Not Decrease Wound Complications Following Revision Total Hip Arthroplasty: A Randomized Controlled Trial.”
