Four MOR Physicians Named "Top Doctors" by Chicago Magazine

Four Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush physicians were named to the Chicago area’s “Top Doctors” list in the January 2020 issue of Chicago Magazine. They include Drs. Bernard Bach, Charles Bush-Joseph, Mark Cohen and Joshua Jacobs. Compiled by Castle Connelly Medical, Ltd., the "Top Doctors" list includes Chicago area specialists and primary care physicians selected by their peers.

About the selected physicians

Dr. Bernard Bach, a sports medicine surgeon, was the Director for the Division of Sports Medicine for 30 years and served as the Sports Medicine Fellowship Director for 28 years at Rush University Medical Center. He is a team physician for the Chicago White Sox and the Chicago Bulls. He has been honored with the Top Doctors designation since its inception.

Dr. Charles Bush-Joseph, a sports medicine surgeon, is a team physician for the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bulls. He was elected to the Major League Baseball Medical Advisory Board and served as president of the Major League Baseball Team Physician Association in 2012. He has received the Top Doctors honor consistently since it was created.

Dr. Mark Cohen, director of the hand, wrist and elbow section, has won several research, teaching and achievement awards and is a member of 16 national and international medical societies and associations. He is also a team doctor for the Chicago Bulls and Chicago White Sox. He has been honored to receive the Top Doctors designation 10 times, every year that this edition has been published. U.S.News & World Report rates him in the top 1% of physicians in his specialty in the nation.

Dr. Joshua Jacobs, a joint replacement surgeon, serves as chairperson of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Rush Medical College. In 2013 he also served as President of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He is honored to be included in the Top Doctors list for many years.
