Ben is a physical therapist who divides his time between clinic treatments and sports performance training at the Bo Jackson Sports Dome. With a background in various sports and track and field at Calvin College and a postgraduate degree in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University, Ben combined his passions by completing a sports physical therapy residency with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush.
During his residency, Ben worked with teams such as the Chicago White Sox (MLB), Joffrey Ballet, and Chicago Steel, while also focusing on lower extremity injuries in contact sports like football and hockey. He continues to assist the Chicago Steel with game day care alongside their athletic training staff.
Ben is passionate about helping athletes achieve peak performance and return to their sports after an injury. Outside of work, he stays active by weightlifting, running, and playing tennis and golf with his wife. A Chicago sports enthusiast, Ben is always excited to discuss his favorite teams.
