David Hughes, PT, DPT

David, a native of Chapel Hill, NC, has followed an unconventional path to physical therapy. After earning his B.A. from Carleton College, he taught Spanish at Norfolk Academy in Virginia. His experiences living and studying in Argentina have made him fluent in Spanish. He later moved to Chicago, where he worked in the transportation and publishing industries before earning a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Illinois at Chicago.  

In his spare time, David enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, and golf, as well as sailing. He is a passionate supporter of his UNC Tar Heels, loves spending time with his wife, and enjoys traveling.
