Dr. Omar Behery is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon with a focus on minimally invasive hip and knee replacement, as well as complex and revision hip and knee reconstruction. He is dedicated to providing patients with the best possible options to achieve pain relief and a return to optimal function.
Dr. Behery earned his medical degree from Rush Medical College and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital (Hospital for Joint Diseases) in New York. He further specialized in adult hip and knee joint reconstruction with a fellowship at the OrthoCarolina Hip and Knee Center in Charlotte.
Through his affiliation with Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush, Dr. Behery is committed to serving patients with a range of hip and knee conditions. He actively contributes to academic research on patient outcomes following primary and revision hip and knee replacement, with numerous peer-reviewed publications and podium presentations to his credit. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS).
