Samantha Knapp, DPT, ATC

Samantha has been a physical therapist with the Out-Patient in the Home program (OPITH) at Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush since 2022. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Aurora University (2003) and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Midwestern University (2008). 

Samantha began her career as an athletic trainer, working with high school athletes and in outpatient work-hardening programs. During graduate school, she developed an interest in skilled nursing, focusing on post-operative joint replacements, CVAs, Parkinson's, vestibular disorders, and cardiac patients. She worked in skilled nursing for 14 years. 

At Midwest Orthopaedics, Samantha specializes in post-operative rehabilitation for lower extremity joint replacements. She enjoys bringing one-on-one therapy to patients' homes and collaborates closely with physicians to provide patients with a comprehensive continuum of care.
