He utilizes a personalized approach that takes into account the age, overall health and personal values of the patient. He communicates and collaborates on a daily basis with the other physicians who may be involved in your care, including medical and radiation oncology, pathology and radiology. At the Midwest Orthopedics at Rush Spine Tumor Center, the first priority is treating your spinal tumor in the least invasive way possible. In many instances, non-surgical treatment and observation is the recommended approach.

Dr. Colman is focused on using cutting-edge technology to plan your treatment. If surgery is recommended, Dr. Colman utilizes both traditional and minimally invasive techniques. He also takes advantage of the most technologically advanced tumor surgery resources in the region, including computer-guided navigation surgery, intraoperative advanced imaging, 3-D printing, custom patient-specific implants, proton beam therapy, and access to clinical trials not available elsewhere.

According to Dr. Howard An, MOR medical director, "This is a place where patients facing a formidable challenge will receive care of the highest caliber. Dr. Colman goes to great lengths to make certain that his patients are armed with the latest information and treatments. They are in superb, caring hands." Dr. Colman was recognized for opening the MOR Spine Tumor Center in Orthopedics this Week.
