The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) has begun construction on Ashland Avenue between Polk Street and Van Buren Street. This work will continue through the rest of the year and may affect how patients, staff, and students travel to Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush in downtown Chicago.
Our priority is to ensure that all patients and visitors are aware of the construction so they can plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and take alternative routes when necessary.
To minimize delays, we recommend the following routes to reach Rush destinations, including the main parking garage and the Professional Buildings on Harrison Street.
Eastbound on the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290)
Exit at Damen Avenue, proceed south to Harrison Street. Then turn east on Harrison and continue to your destination.
Westbound on the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290)
Exit at Damen onto Van Buren Street and follow to Damen. Turn south on Damen to Harrison. Then turn east on Harrison and continue to your destination.
Southbound on Ashland Avenue
Turn west onto Van Buren and follow to Damen. Turn south on Damen to Harrison. Then turn east on Harrison and continue to your destination.
Northbound on Ashland Avenue
Turn west on Flournoy Street and follow to Paulina Street. Turn north on Paulina and continue to Harrison. Depending on your destination, turn east to the main parking garage or west to the Professional Building.
For real-time traffic updates, we recommend using Google Maps or Waze.
