Biography
Dr. Johnny Lin is board certified in orthopedic surgery and specializes exclusively in the treatment of complex foot and ankle disorders. His interests include the treatment and rehabilitation of work-related injuries, sports-related injuries, deformity correction, arthritis, and fractures of the foot and ankle. He provides comprehensive surgical and nonsurgical approaches to the treatment of foot and ankle problems. When surgery is indicated, he utilizes a full complement of both traditional and newer surgical techniques including cartilage transplant, arthroscopy, ankle replacement, deformity correction and osteotomy sparing bunion surgery.
Dr. Lin graduated bronze tablet with distinction from the honors program at the University of Illinois. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois medical school and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Rush University Medical Center. He received his specialty training in foot and ankle surgery at the world-renowned University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic. He now exclusively treats disorders of the foot and ankle at Rush University Medical Center, Central Dupage Hospital and Rush Oak Park Hospital. In addition to his clinical practice, he is heavily involved in community educational events and lectures, trains medical students and residents at Rush University, serves as a journal editor of Foot and Ankle International, and conducts research in his area of expertise.
